1. Let’s talk about shopping and money. What do you know about the history of money?
Shopping is sth we deal with every day. We always buy food, cloths and many other things. Nowadays we have so many shops and supermarkets and the choice of products is so great that we can buy everything we want. But in order to make purchases, we need money. So what I know about the history of money?  Many years ago people didn’t have money, and to buy sth they used valuable items. Rather, it was not a purchase, it was an exchange. But in the 7th century BC people started to use coins. Coins were made of gold or silver.  Nowadays we use paper money (some countries still use coins, but modern coins are different from the old ones). As I know first paper money appeared in China. During the 18th century paper money became popular in Europe.
2. Do you like shopping ? Why (not)?
Sometimes I like shopping and sometimes I don’t like it. It depends on what I am going to buy. If I am in possession of have a great sum of money to obtain something trendy, I am most willing to obtain buy it. In situations like the one described such situations I am really fond of shopping. If I have just a little money to purchase something trivial a loaf of bread for instance I will try to avoid doing it. It’s deadly boring especially when you have limited resources and you I have to find something which is cheap but of relatively good quality.
3. What questions will you ask a shop assistant to help you to choose a purchase?
Can you help me?
How much does it cost?
Can I try it on?
Do you have another size of it?
Do you have a blue T-shirt?
4. What can you advise a person who wants to buy many things but has little time?
I can advise a person to go to a supermarket. In modern supermarkets we can buy everything we need: from food and cloth to TV-sets and cars. But if a person is too lazy or he even doesn't have enough time to go to a supermarket, he can buy everything via the Internet.  If a person has enough time and he does not need this item very urgently, he can order goods in a foreign online store. it will cost a lot less than if to buy in a store. Also, a person can order goods in an online store of his country, and then he will get it in a few days. It has now become popular even to order food in nearby shops.
5. Parents usually give pocket money to their children.  How do you usually spend your pocket money?
As a rule I spend my pocket money on simple things, such as cosmetics or I going to a cafe with my friends. Sometimes I buy food for our family, but in this case my parents give me extra money. If I need to buy sth expensive like cloths, I say about it to my parents and they give me more money.

1. Let’s talk about shopping and money. What do you know about the history of money?
Nowadays we have banknotes and coins but the first form of money was something rare in this or that area. I mean pebbles of unusual form or skins of rare animals. Much later people started to use metals such as gold and silver as a form of money. Later precious stones like brilliants, rubies, sapphires were used as money as well. Paper money first appeared in France in the West and in China in the East. During the 18th century paper money became popular in Europe.
2. Do you like shopping ? Why (not)?
Of course I like shopping. Shopping is a way of relaxation. You exchange small sheets of paper for something which is either beautiful or tasty. You buy things which please your eyes. You can see an interesting design of interior in different shops, which can please your eyes too. At some shops soft music is played so going there helps you to relax.
3. What questions will you ask a shop assistant to help you to choose a purchase?
1) Where are T-Shirts?
2) Can you give me my size?
3) How much does is cost?
4) Can you postpone this T-Shirt?
4. What can you advise a person who wants to buy many things but has little time?
I can reccomend you to use Internet shops. Today internet shops are more popular than supermarkets and other shops, because they are easier and faster. In such shops you can use a search and you can see comments about all things. Also in internet shops you can buy things at lower prices than in supermarkets, because they don't pay for rent. I hope my advice is helpful for you.
5. Parents usually give pocket money to their children.  How do you usually spend your pocket money?
My parents provide me with everything I need. So I usually spend my pocket money on different entertainments, such as going to a cafe or a pizzeria or I buy something tasty at our school canteen. If I need to buy sth expensive like cloths, I say about it to my parents and they give me more money.

1. Let’s talk about shopping and money. What do you know about the history of money? I am not keen on history. It is not my favorite subject at school, but once we read a text about the origin of money. Paper money first appeared in France in the West and in China in the East. Before that money was made from gold and silver. That was real money as it was valuable: no inflation or anything like that. At first people used things which were rare I mean skins but it was not so convenient.

2. Do you like shopping? Why? Why not? Shopping can be relaxing. You exchange small sheets of paper for something which is either beautiful or tasty. Even if you don’t buy anything I mean window shopping it may be pleasant experience as you go to different places which are full of eye catching things. They please your eyes. At some shops music is played so going there helps you to relax.

3. What questions will you ask a shop assistant to help you to choose a purchase?  What goods can I purchase in you shop? Are there any discounted goods to buy there? Have you got a dress of my size?

4.What can you advise a person who wants to buy many things but has little time It’s a common problem. We always have little time to do everything we need. I think that buying online can be a solution to this problem. It will not take you a lot of time to choose what you want from a catalogue on the Internet. Just a few clicks! They will be delivered by post. Isn’t it convenient? Unfortunately, it is not all that simple. You can’t see what you are buying. You should consider everything carefully before you make an order.

5. Parents usually give pocket money to their children. How do you usually spend your pocket money? Girls often spend their pocket money on cosmetics and sweets. Boys usually buy computer games and videos. I am not so trendy. I bought an e-reader last year and I buy books online. I know that you can download many books as pdf files but they are just pictures and it is not comfortable to read them in this way. Apart from that it takes some time before they appear on the Internet. If a book came out a few days ago I can easily buy it. I don’t have to wait for it to be uploaded by someone.

1. Let’s talk about shopping and money. What do you know about the history of money?
Money has a huge history. As I know, the first cash were some simple things like pearls in the Oceania or stones in New Zeland. After some period of history, people began to use gold, silver and other metal coins. The first money made of paper appeared in China in the 910. Today we can find coins or paper money in every part of the world.
2. Do you like shopping ? Why (not)?
As for me, I cant say that I like shopping. Yes, of course I like new things, no matter a T-shirt or a book it is, but I hate to visit hundreds of shops to find out, that the thing in the first shop was the best. So, I like to buy, not to go shopping.
3. What questions will you ask a shop assistant to help you to choose a purchase?
1) Do you have any discounts?
2) Have you got a T-shirt of my size??
3) How much does is cost?
4) Do you have other colorings of this T-shirt?
4. What can you advise a person who wants to buy many things but has little time?
I can reccomend you to use Internet shops. Progress is not staying in one position, and today we have a lot of immaterial markets. You can use it them in every place of your city or village. It will be great, when it has a delivery, though I think, that your walk to the post office and back will be better, than spending hours in real shops. And of course, things on the Internet-markets are often cheaper.
5.Parents usually give pocket money to their children.  How do you usually spend your pocket money?
My parents love me, and of course they try to do everything, that I'm really need. Pocket money is not an exception.
I use them it to buy many things, which will be useful for me, beginning from food and ending with to simple things like such as pens or sth like that. I spend my cash wisely, and do not waste them it for couple of hours.

1. Let’s talk about shopping and money. What do you know about the history of money?
To begin with, i would like to say that money plays an important role in our life. People use money every day to pay for things they buy. But a long time ago, people did not buy or sell using money. Instead, they traded one thing for another to get what they wanted or needed. The first country in the world to make metal coins was called Lydia, The Lydian coins were made of precious metal and were stamped with a picture of a lion. Paper money first appeared in China in 910.The Emperor had to manage the largest Empire in the world history, and like any ruler of a big bureaucracy, he found of inestimable value in the paper. Paper notes greatly facilitated the collection of taxes and the administration of the Empire, at the same time markedly reducing the need of transporting huge quantities of heavy coins.
2. Do you like shopping ? Why (not)?
I don't like shopping, because it's very long and boring,I don't like to walk around the great amount of shops to choose something.I like to buy something new,but i do this quickly, not like shopping fans.
3. What questions will you ask a shop assistant to help you to choose a purchase?
Do you have any sales?
Where can I find the fitting room?
What is the brand of this jacket?
Do you have any advice where i can start?)
4. What can you advise a person who wants to buy many things but has little time?
Don't go there tonight.Ok,just a joke.If you have little time, you need to  know exactly what things you want and choose quickly, without any doubt.Any selection can slow you and you will fail because of it.Some people prepare for shopping during some days and even weeks. You can also choose your things on sites on the Internet before going into the shop,it is quicker than going to the shop and select there, you can stay home and make purchases at home.
5.Parents usually give pocket money to their children.  How do you usually spend your pocket money?
Like many children of the 21st century I love soda, especially Coca-Cola and Fanta,so i spend most of my pocket money on it. As a child, when CD-disks were very popular,i spent all my money on them, but with the advent of fast Internet and modern computers, this need has gone.

1.Now let’s talk about food. What can you tell me about eating habits in Belarus.
Food is obviously a very important part of peoples’ culture and if you want to understand the nation it is important to try national food. Belarusian cuisine consists mostly of vegetables, meats and breads. The foods dishes that are considered to be staples of Belarus include pork, cabbages, potatoes and bread. Traditional cooking methods are usually either slowly cooked or stewed food cooking or stewing. But the most popular Belarusian dish is draniki with machanka.
Kvass is a type of soft drink that is made from either brown bread or rye flour that has been malted.
2.Do you like cooking? Why (not)?
Maybe, yes. But it doesn’t happen very often because I’m very busy now. If I have a chance to spend time cooking I prefer to cook some special and tasty things: pizza, pancakes , stuffed cabbage, chops, roast chicken, or biscuits
3.What questions will you ask a friend who has invited you to a pot-luck party?
What is the theme of your potluck party?
How many people have you invited to the party?
Are you going to make a list of dishes?
4.What national dishes can you recommend a tourist to taste in Belarus?
As you know the potato is cooked in various ways in Belarus. You can boil, fry or bake it. Moreover, it is the main ingredient of most dishes of belarusian cuisine. You can find it in every recipe even in salads. My favourite one is with potatoes, mushrooms, oil, vinegar salt and pepper.
5.A lot of people refuse to have meals at school. What do you think about it?
Some say that kids refuse to eat in school canteens because of the fact that food there is of low quality. I don’t think so. In my opinion it is not fair. We have a good value for the money we pay. If we pay more we’ll have better food. If kids don’t go to their school canteen they go to the nearest shops and buy fizzy drinks and crisps. I don’t think that they are anyway better than the food they often complain about.

1. Now let’s talk about food. What can you tell me about eating habits in Belarus?
Each country has its own special dish and when tourists come to the country, they try to eat this special dish. Many people from other countries associate Belarus with potatoes: they believe that we eat only potatoes and nothing else. But it is not true.  Our daily menu is not too different from the menus of foreign countries:  we eat meat,  pasta, potatoes , soup and so on. Nevertheless as we are associated with potatoes, we have some signature dishes. Visitors of our country are willing to try our draniki and babka.
2. Do you like cooking? Why (not)?
It all depends on my mood. If I am in a good mood, I am ready to cook everything, even the most difficult to prepare meals. But if I am in a bad mood, I don’t want to cook at all. In this case I prefer simply to drink a glass of water and nothing else.
3. What questions will you ask a friend who has invited you to a pot-luck party?
What is it?
What will we do there?
Have you ever been on to such parties before?
4. What national dishes can you recommend a tourist to taste in Belarus?
Many people from other countries associate Belarus with potatoes that is why I can recommend to eat our draniki or babka. They are especially tasty when you eat them with sour cream. I am absolutely  sure that everybody will like our national dishes and will want to eat them again.
5. A lot of pupils refuse to have meals at school. What do you think about it?
I didn’t eat at school a year ago either. But then I understood that it is too difficult to spend 6 ir 7 hours at school without a snack. And for students who do not eat at school, I can only say one thing: do not spoil your body and start to eat. After a couple of days you will realize that you will   feel better and more comfortable and your brains will work better.

1. Now let’s talk about food. What can you tell me about eating habits in Belarus?
Many people from far away countries come to our country every day. Some of them decide to settle here and they enrich our culture by familiarising us with their own eating habits. Nowadays we have a wide range of different things to choose from. Some of my friends are crazy about foreign cuisines for instance Italian or Chinese. People are not in favour of eating traditional dishes of our country any more. Thus I fail to give you a straight answer to your question.
2. Do you like cooking? Why (not)?
I like to cook because I want to let others eat my cooking products. I want to see their face with a smile when they feel my foods are tasty and good. I would feel happy when I see their smile and eating happily. Since those dishes are being cooked by my heart and love. I hope that they can feel it.
3. What questions will you ask a friend who has invited you to a pot-luck party?
What dish shall I bring?
Where will the party take place?
Shall I bring some plates or cups?
Shall I bring some drinks?
Who else is invited to the party?
4. What national dishes can you recommend a tourist to taste in Belarus?

5. A lot of pupils refuse to have meals at school. What do you think about it?
I think a snack in the middle of a school day can do you a lot of good. Unfortunately, school meals leave much to be desired. As for me, I usually eat the main dish but my favorite food in at  school is a cup of tea with pizza.

1. Now let’s talk about food. What can you tell me about eating habits in Britain?
A recent survey, conducted among British people, shows that  Indian curry is the most popular dish in Great Britain. This dish came to England with emigrants from Asia.
In principle, the English cuisine is based on dishes from beef, lamb, pork, chicken and fish, with the addition of flour, butter and eggs. As a side dish to the main dishes are usually served potatoes and vegetables. We can not say that the traditional English cuisine is particularly refined - typically English dishes are simple and unpretentious.
The most typical British dishes are: all kinds of sandwiches , the world-famous "fish and chips", different types of pies with a stuffing, baked meat, yorkshire pudding. From British desserts can be identified Trifle.
2. Do you know any traditional British dishes?
Some traditional English dishes have quite strange names, for example, "Bubble and squeak". This dish is made from the remnants of the traditional Sunday lunch. On Sunday English families gather for a traditional Sunday Roast. Usually it consists of meat. The meat is  poured with brown sauce.
3. What questions can you ask a British friend about their national cuisine?
What is your favorite food?
What dish can you recommend me to taste when I'm in England?
Is British food  different from the Belarusian one?
4. Your British friend can’t stop eating fast food. Try to persuade him that it is unhealthy.
I agree with you that fast food is very tasty. But at the same time, it is terribly harmful. It is prepared from cheap products with addition of a large amount of oil and flavor enhancers. It contains a bunch of additives which gradually kill your body. Sooner or later, but you will have heart problems, stomach problems  and obesity.
Stop eating fast food or it will be too late.
5. Some people criticize English food. They say it is unimaginable, boring, tasteless. What do you think about it?
Every man to his own taste. Some people criticize British food because they believe it is tasteless, poorly cooked, and so on. But at the same time, other people like this food.
I have never tried British food, that is why I can’t say anything about it. Maybe after I try it, I'll tell you share my impressions with you.

1.Now let’s talk about food. What can you tell me about eating habits in Britain?
I know that in Britain eating habits differ from our eating habits. At breakfast some people have toast with butter and jam and a cup of tea with milk. Others eat bacon and eggs.

They have lunch in the middle of the day. They usually eat meat, cheese or other sandwiches, or soup and bread. Drinks at lunch time are very different: fruit juices, coca-cola, sprite 7up and others.

At lunchtime on Sunday a traditional meal is the Sunday roast, for example, roast beef with roast potatoes, peas, green beans, Yorkshire pudding.

They have dinner between 7 and 8.30. It is a cooked meal of meat or fish and two vegetables, one of which is often potato.

2.Do you know any traditional British dishes?
I know that traditionally British people make a wide variety of puddings and cakes. Black Pudding , made from pig’s blood, is a specialty of North England.
3.What questions can you ask a British friend about their national cuisine?
Have you ever gone to foreign restaurants and cafes?
What do British teenagers have for breakfast?
Are you good at cooking traditional british food?
   What is your national dish?
4.Your British friend can’t stop eating fast food. Try to persuade him that it is unhealthy.
You should stop eating fast food because it is unhealthy. Fast food is a delicious silent killer because it looks nice and tastes nice. Additives like flavorings, preservatives which fast food contains influence on our heart, pressure, our look.
5.Some people criticize English food. They say it is unimaginable, boring, tasteless. What do you think about it?
Every person has it's own taste and that's why some people like English food and some no. As for me, I  don't think that English food is boring. There are a lot of interesting and unusual dishes in it

1.Now let’s talk about food. What can you tell me about eating habits in Britain?
People of different nationalities live in Britain. They mostly eat meals which can’t be regarded as traditional British food. Even most Britons prefer Indian curry or dishes from Chinese cuisine to what is said to be British traditional food. Some say that some 50 years ago a British traditional breakfast consist of bacon and eggs, sausages and fried tomatoes. However, I am not sure whether it is the case now. The only thing which can’t be doubted is that fish and chips is the most popular take-away food in Britain.
2.Do you know any traditional British dishes?
English cuisine is low in its diversity. But they have dishes that are popular with everyone. For example: beefsteak, schnitzel, puddings, cakes and so on.
3.What questions can you ask a British friend about their national cuisine?
Is British cuisine very popular in the world?
What is the traditional dish for Christmas table?
What is Yorkshire pudding made from?
What are British typical dishes?
4.Your British friend can’t stop eating fast food. Try to persuade him that it is unhealthy.
Fast food is not good and it does a lot of damage to our health. Fast food is low in vitamins and minerals and I can’t think of any reason for eating it. Every kid knows that fast food is bad and no further explanation is required. I think it should be banned as cigarettes and alcohol.
5.Some people criticize English food. They say it is unimaginable, boring, tasteless. What do you think about it?
If you ask foreigners to name some typically English dishes, they will probably say "Fish and chips" then stop. It is disappointing, but true that, there is no tradition in England of eating in restaurants, because the food doesn't lend itself to such preparation. English cooking is found at home. So it is difficult to find a good English restaurant with a reasonable prices.

I disagree with it. Every person has his own eating habits. That's why some people critisize english food. I think that English food is not boring and tasteless. There are many different unusual dishes in Britain. For example Black Pudding, which is made from pig's blood.

Traditional British cuisine includes fish and chips, roast beef, steak, mash, and, probably, famous British pudding. For breakfast many British people often have cereals such as cornflakes with milk, or they have toast with marmalade. They drink a cup of coffee or tea or a glass of orange juice. On a cold day, some people like to have porridge for breakfast.

4. Your British friend can’t stop eating fast food. Try to persuade him that it is unhealthy.
You should stop eating fast food because it is unhealthy. Fast food looks nice and tasty, but if you eat it very often, you will easily become overweight. Fast food is inexpensive because it is made with cheaper ingredients such as fat meat, refined grains, sugar and fats, instead of nutritious foods such as lean meat, fresh fruit and vegetables. It doesn’t provide any benefits to the body and the harm it causes is numerous.
5. Some people criticize English food. They say it is unimaginable, boring, tasteless. What do you think about it?
It is disappointing, but in some ways it's true, because English cooking is very simple and doesn’t need any special preparation. But I really want to eat British food.
